Students are expected to complete approximately 5 hours of self-paced review of the CRMA curriculum before attending a required 3-hour in-person session for med skills review, competency demonstration and the 100-question recertification exam.
Be prepared for the following during the in-person class:
1. Transcribe a list of prescriber orders onto a paper MAR (pass/fail, 100% accuracy is required)
2. Hands-on med pass demonstration using your completed paper MAR (pass/fail, 100% accuracy is required)
3. Closed book exam with 100 questions: multi-choice, T/F, fill-in-the-blank
All CRMA certificates expire every 2 years
There is a 30 day grace period to get renewed, but the CRMA cannot pass meds until becoming re-certified
If your certificate expires beyond 30 days, the full course must be retaken (but of course, I would love to see you in my next full class!
After the class, it is your responsibility to verify your new CRMA certificate from the certificate search link above. Email us if you don’t see it after 3-5 business days at info@medpromaine.com
